When you think of bathroom remodeling, what comes to mind?  Classic luxury with bay windows and a marble tub?  Or a high-tech bathroom complete with a television in the shower?  While bathroom remodels can include these things, they don’t have to be near that extensive or expensive.

Paint

Simply painting a room can completely change its ambiance.  Bright colors can bring much needed energy to your morning routine while calming cooler colors can help you relax after a long day.  If your paint is faded or chipping, just adding a fresh coat of its current color can improve the room’s appearance.

Painting is a great way to remodel on a budget because it doesn’t require a lot of expensive supplies or materials, and it is an easy project to DIY if you want to save a little extra.  It also makes a big impact on the entire room - no other remodeling project gives you as much improvement for as little time and money!

Replace the Fixtures

Bathroom faucets, cabinet handles, and shower hardware may seem small, but they can make a big difference in both the feel and functionality of a bathroom.  Outdated hardware can be an eyesore (especially if the finish is chipping or rusting), and a leaky faucet can bring daily frustration no matter how great it looks.

Want to feel like you are bathing on the beach?  A jar of seashells on the vanity and paintings of ocean life will instantly transport you to the coast.  Do you prefer to relax in luxury?  Even if your tub is a stock piece from the local hardware store, a few classy bath accessories can make you feel like royalty. 

Decorations are simple to install, fun to shop for, and you can pay as much or as little as you want for them (second-hand decorations are often just as nice as new ones!).  The hardest part of this budget bathroom remodel will be deciding which decorations you want!
